How long does botox last?
Anti wrinkle injections last for roughly 12 weeks although you won’t be completely frozen for 12 weeks this isn’t the norm. When treatments are repeated this weakens the muscle. If you have longer gaps in between treatments the muscle will build back up. Everyones skin and muscle is different so results are individual to you. It takes 14 days for the toxin to reach maximum effect, then it will gradually wear off over the 12 weeks.
How long does Botox take to work?
In general Botox effects can be seen as early early as 3-4 days after injection. Full results of Botox will be after 14 days this is when we ask you to come for a review appointment to check on your progress.
What are the side effects of Botox?
There are a few common side effects after Botox, these can include:
- a temporary headache
- minimal swelling on injection points
- slight bruising
